As I said earlier, my entry stamp is unreadable, my exit stamp could also be unreadable. What happens then, do people check their stamps in front of the border official? "No I'm sorry I can't read that, will you stamp it again, thanks that's better"
It's been a couple of years since travelling...
They did, on exit from Greece and entry to the UK, but I have been told that as yet there is no shared data for entry and exit. Until ETIAS is up and running we will have to rely on stamps? I hope your right though.
Thanks
It's a pity all the replies to my post couldn't be as helpful as yours. I'll make sure to pm you first the next time I need some advice, it would save me the trouble of asking anyone else.
Looks like I'm confusing the issue, yes we did return directly from Greece. I was just adding the point of making sure it's the last Schengen country that stamps the Passport. ?
Not thread drift but unfortunately it doesn't help me.
I genuinely thought our passports would be stamped on entry to the UK now we can't use EU border control lanes.
Getting them stamped on exit from Greece doesn't actually prove to future border control officers that we have left Shengen, so...
Yes unfortunately I realise that now and I'm sure I won't be the only one that makes this mistake. Until ETIAS goes live next year I will make sure I get exit stamps from every shengen country I pass through. I wonder what will happen if we don't get on the ETIAS list, we will have to be extra...

The Greek embassy is impossible to contact. I looked at ETIAS for next year but we're not on the list yet?
As mentioned I will keep and take with me proof of our return to the UK, we have the day 2 test so there must be electronic proof of us being back in the UK.
Once again " Brexit, The gift...
Just returned from 3 weeks sailing in Greece. Stamped into Greece on arrival so this will start the 180 day count down. Not stamped out in Greece on our way home, and no stamp in at UK border control.
So going by the passport stamp we are still in Greece, this means we are still using our...
Has anyone travelled to Corfu recently? we will be arriving late and will have to put up in a hotel close to or in Corfu town. Are all places open, any recommendations. We are also thinking of doing a weeks charter, any recommendations? We haven't sailed in the Ionian for a number of years...
