Anyone have any experience with a Europa V320 Sport?

I have a Europa 2.7 Airdeck with a Tohatsu badge and rated to take a Tohatsu 2 stroke 9.8 (26kg) outboard. It is a very poor inflatable and a 9.8 is much too powerful. I also used it with a 6HP 4 stroke Suzuki. With the Suzuki maximum speed was about 10 knots with 1 person (70kg) but the noise...

    Sealine 305 Help

Agree, most likely 4 cylinder AQAD31/290DP (assuming original engines). It would sink with 61Ps! Also, check age. Sealine stopped making 305 at the end of 89. If you are considering buying one it would be better to opt for more powerful engines. Best choice is AQAD41 or V8 petrols.

    Trim tab ram help please.

You are correct, Farnell do not list this part any more. I have found a company Awatronic (020 3287 2904) that list a 2K2 or 10K (CIPGST258M10KA). You could use a 10K and connect two 4K7 0.5W resistors from the slider to each end of the pot or just use a 2K2-it would probably be OK. Even if...

    Eltrim trimtabs

2" is just convenient, it makes it fairly easy to reseal and removes enough of the assembly to inspect the mechanism. Please note, I made a mistake about the screws on top. You need to remove two (not four) in order to replace the pot. The construction will become clear once you have cut it...

    Eltrim trimtabs

Sorry, I should have added that if you want to replace the pot (4K7) or the upper limit switch you need to undo four screws at the top. Reseal these with silicone rubber.

    Eltrim trimtabs

It is fairly easy to mend Eltrim units as long as not too much water has got in. Cut the casing about 2" from the top, remove the bellows and the bottom part of the casing can be removed. The limit switches and pots are available from Farnell. Glue the casing halves back together with Araldite...

IS USING JUST ONE ENGINE FALSE ECONOMY

We do this quite often because we have 2 V8 petrol engines. At 6 knots with two engines (1200rpm) we use about 3gph. At 6 knots on one engine (1400rpm) we use about 2gph.

    Sealine 305

I think that a Sealine 305 fitted with transit engines will be very noisy and underpowered. You really need the 200HP diesels or V6/V8 petrols. Ours (V8 petrols) cruises nicely at 22-24 knots. We avoid speeds 7-17 knots because the fuel consumption is very high at these speeds. It will plane at...

    Bow Thruster - A DIY Job ?

I fitted a Sidepower 35 to my Sealine 305. It was not difficult but it was very time consuming. I made up a tool for cutting the hole by attaching a cheap B & Q (about £20) rotary cutter to a steel rod. I then drilled small holes in the hull for the rod and rotated the cutter around the rod. The...

What is it with modern engines

The Mercruiser and Volvo petrol 4.3L V6 engine blocks are sawn off GM small block (5.7L) V8 engines as fitted to Chevrolet etc cars and pickup trucks. The engines are very simple and robust. I agree with other replies that it is the salt water that kills them. I had to replace one (the raw water...

    Sealine 305 Statesman - Opinions/Advise?

I am sorry I can't send any photographs because I don't have a digital camera, however, the interior of our boat is the same as that of the one that you are interested in. I should have made clear in my original posting that the 'no bits dropping off' etc referred to the boat and not the engines...

    Sealine 305 Statesman - Opinions/Advise?

We have owned a Sealine 305 since new and nothing has fallen off or broken. They are a bit thin and flimsy (you get what you pay for!) but offer excellent value and accomodation. If driven too quickly into a head sea the ride is very harsh and likely to cause stress cracks along the spray rails...

    Sealine 215 or Fairline Sprint

We owned a Fairline Weekend (same hull, different layout to Sprint) from 1982 to 1989. We had great fun with it, including towing it on a trailer to the South of France several times. The only problem with our boat was the engine-a horrible little 4 cylinder Volvo petrol. It was underpowered and...

Head Gasket Blown - How much damage to expect?

I agree with the suggestion that you should remove the head. If no water inside then you should be able to repair the engine. I wasted a lot of time and money earlier this year trying to repair an AQ211 (5L V8 but also a variant of the General Motors small block V8) that had filled with salt...

    AQ211 a fuel consumption

As Questor says we have a Sealine 305 fitted with twin AQ211/290SP. We have owned the boat since new and have done about 9000nm. At 1200rpm on two engines we use 3 gph at 6 knots. One engine at 1400 rpm gives 6 knots at 2gph. A reasonable cruising speed is 3400rpm giving about 22 knots at about...
