Quick Windlass experience
I'm anchored at Lighthouse Reef in Belize, which is about 30 miles offshore & my Muir VR1000R012E windlass stripped the worm gear. It's pulled up many anchors in it's 21 years, so it owes us nothing. Luckily there's a dive resort here with 10 KBps Internet, so at...
Re: BlueJacket\'s Google Earth presentation of Caribbean, East US & Canada
Dann,
I changed some setting on the server. Please let me know if that solves the problem.
However, when you click on the KMZ file in Firefox, does a dialog box pop up asking you what you want to do with the file...
Re: BlueJacket\'s Google Earth presentation of Caribbean, East US & Canada
Thanks for the info! Funny how it works on some systems and not on others. I updated my .htaccess file with the types. Please let me know if it solves the problem.

Re: BlueJacket\'s Google Earth presentation of Caribbean, East US & Canada
Really...your system doesn't associate KMZ files with Google Earth? Bizarre!
What you can do is download the file to your system by right clicking on the link and saving the file. Then use Windows Explorer to view...

I would try updating your version of Google Earth. This makes use of some newer features.

BlueJacket\'s Google Earth presentation of Caribbean, East US & Canada
I just finished updating my Google Earth file to include our 2008 cruising. In 2008 we did what's known as the "Down East Circle Route." This trip started in the Chesapeake and wound through the Hudson River, the Erie and...

In an attempt to wean the Freedom Sailboat forum away from Yahoo Groups and

I have just returned from another season of cruising. This season covered most of the islands of the Bahamas that we had missed on previous trips and then we returned to the Chesapeake via the ICW. As we cruise, I generate extensive logs as well as photographic albums and videos. These logs...

I am happy to report that when we arrived at the boat that there were 2 panels waiting for me. Other than the fact that they changed the location of the holes on the modules which required filling and repainting the fiberglass dodger that they were mounted on, I am very happy to have working...
About a week after posting the above note in multiple sailing and solar energy related Internet forums (mid-December, 2006) I received a message from Solara AG informing me that they would replace the panels. They blamed Solara Energy (the US distributor) for not doing anything to help me...
Thanks for the feeback. Solara AG doesn't appear to be selling panels in the US anymore due to the Euro-Dollar exchange rate. As a result I don't think that they care about this market and by the time that the exchange ratio gets back to where their panels are cost adventageous, this will have...
The following chronicles my futile attempts to get Solara AG, a manufacturer of Solar Panels in Germany, to live up to their warranty obligations. My panels failed and it appears that Solara AG has decided to ignore me as well as the dealer and the distributor. While this problem relates to...
