Thankfully had steady trades until last 15 hours and had a head wind following a squall, motored the last bit.

We tried twin headsails but found it rolled alot. We ended up with poles out headsail, and triple reefed main prevented and boom braked. We used a cheap SH head sail as shape not really an issue. It was stable and comfortable. As somebody said when we got to Barbados....... well a grand piano...

The stern tube is one piece it is fixed to the stern bracket..............dont ask me how I know. But the studs are a good idea for future. I could possibly dove tail the holes a bit and would never pull out?

Possible Diesel bug then, you will need to get into the tank to clean it, there will be sludge behind the baffles etc.........glad you got sorted
