    Volvo AQ145

Have the above engine which has just developed a fault where by its running lumpy (sounds like its struggling to keep going at idle) when you then rev the engine and drop the throttle lever back the engine itself keeps reving high for 30 seconds to a minute before the revs start to drop off back...

The boat reached full revs on saturday and today just wasnt getting there, revs got to about 2800 then they just werent getting any further. thanks again...

    KAD32's problem

Re: KAD32\'s problem thanks for your replies, its around the 2300 to 2500 that it 'gets stuck'. The engines did however eventually get to full throttle until the end of this weekend when neither engine got to full revs.

    KAD32's problem

KAD32\'s problem Recently got a Fairline Targa 29 with twin KAD32's I am not particulalry mechanically minded so bare with me! I noticed that when you open up the throttles fully the revs pick up but then there is a 3 or 4 second delay before the engines fully open up. (both engines behaved...

    WiFi

A few of us have been wondering about the feasibility of installing a wireless internet access at our marina. It’s not a particularly big marina so the range I guess, would not need to be that great. Has anyone been involved in the installation of an outdoor wireless network, that type at...

Fairline Targa 40 Hinging Radar Arch

I am thinking of purchasing a Fairline Targa 40. The radar arch brings the air draft of the boat just above the limit for the cruising that im wanting to do. I have looked at other boats but particularly like the Targa 40 for various reasons. Has anybody had the radar arch hinged on one of these...

    Connecting control cables to outboard

I had the same setup on a boat I had quite a few years back. Mine was an evinrude outboard although i think there is a connection between selva and evinrude.... The fittings you need however are generic. Usually plastic ends which are quite long, fit to the ends of the cables, one will just have...

Buying a boat, what do you think?

Im buying a boat in the very near future and the possibilities include a Princess V42, Fairline Targa 40 and a Sunseeker camargue 44. The boats I have seen all askinig around the £175k mark. Firstly, I'd be keen to hear of any experience and thoughts on the above boats. Secondly, in light of...

Visited six brokers this weekend on the south coast and the latest was that company credit cards had been withdrawn, company cars sold and a new director in place apparently appointed by the companies bank.... Could be worse..... and of course this is word down the grape vine!
