I had the 7 day reminder on 1 June this year and renewed. Reading this thread I checked my subscription expiry date and found it has maintained the original 08 June date but one year on, of course.
Strange OP had a problem.
Visual inspection will not give you the correct assurance, cracks can start under these pits and proper Non Destructive Examination of the volume of the material is the only way to be sure. Probably quicker and cheaper to replace.
My Yamaha has a three position fuel cock, off, internal tank and external tank. There is an internal fuel pump which sucks from whichever tank is selected. Yours may be similar.
Is this a Selden system? If so I had this a couple of years ago and the local riggers, Allspars, stripped the boom on found one of the nylon wheels on the internal reefing carriage had a flat on it preventing movement. It happens with age apparently. Quick and easy fix.

It’s similar but has a rod linkage to the quadrant and that one appears to be a cable. The quadrant is in the same place, back of the cockpit.
Thanks though and I did find that manual useful.
Unfortunately, the rudder quadrant is in the cockpit. The rudder stock is enclosed in a tube between the hull and the cockpit deck. Thanks for your responses so far, I should have been clearer in my question.
I had read previously of the superior performance of below deck autopilots, I suppose...
