I bet that the first trip to Cherbourg & the sight of land for the first time, will be a memory you will never forget. Mine was Ostend in 1970 & I can remember it like yesterday.

Trouble is that you do not know until the boat is back in the water & one needs another lift out to sort. Shaft seal change is not that easy & does need a certain amount of care. It is not a job for a spanner monkey. For instance. Do you adjust the shims for wear on the gears at the same time...
I am more than satisfied with the facilities at our marina, except that I would like more electricity sockets both on dry land & certainly on the pontoons where the shortage is a real pain.

These are our air bags, of which we have 2 . They were supplied by a company (Seaflex)on the IOW and can be hired by the day. We purchased ours for laying moorings.
