leave it running on automatic with the drain in the galley sink. The smell from new wasn’t bad, smelt more chemical than anything else and dissipated over a few weeks.
We use ElectriQ CD12P dehumidifiers in all our school boats. They do a great job and pretty much look after themselves. We paid about £130 each for them. Gave up using Meaco juniors after three went pop in one year and didn’t quite as good a job.

Pontoon P is in oyster Quay, they are private berths at the flats, not the main marina. There was fencing up yesterday, as I access the area from behind the cinema, not from the lock end.
For turning the engine over in small increments, i used a 1/2" ratchet and socket on the crank pulley. My D2-40 is now 10 years old with 1000hours on it. I checked the valve clearances last summer and they were all well within tolerance. Didn't need to adjust any of them. Worth a check though...
I'm berthed at Port Solent and usually fill a couple of jerry cans at the fuel station in Cosham near the train station, just down the road from Port Solent. It's a lot cheaper than marina rates.
I err on the side of caution and heavily dose with Wasp Bio-Kem every time i fill-up.
