Thanks SRM When checked into the EU with a car you can travel to other EU countries freely. I appreciate that boats may have different rules, hopefully someone who knows will be along soon.

UK Resident, UK flagged boat. After completing formalities when arriving at an EU Port of Entry do I need to check out and in again if I sail direct to another EU country. Thanks

Thank you all for the responses. Informative and to the point, great! The issue relates to a boat I looked at that had probably mainly rain water (from the taste) sitting in the bilge for a considerable time. Cheers

1) Without a gelcoat or flowcoat top layer, is GRP more susceptible to osmosis? 2) If a GRP bilge is left with water (fresh or saline) in it for months/years can Osmosis start? 3) If the bilge is dried out, will osmosis stop (if it ever started)? Thanks
