    Managed to acquire a Kuhn Rikon Hotel 5ltr with a big discount. Just cooked perfect corn on the cob in 2 minutes!!! It's a brace new world!! May thanks for alll the advice and tips everyone!

    The Catherine Phipps book I skimmed at the weekend recommended using a diffuser on the burner which could resolve both burning and dangerous heads of steam! I've never used one ashore so not sure how practicable this might be afloat. Thoughts anyone?

    Excellent information, thanks. Any suggested makes / models? I see Prestige and Kuhn in the thread. Any others? Also recipe books? I saw Catherine Phipps Presure Cooker Cookbook in Waterstones earlier which look quite good.

    I think the principle is very much the same having looked at the Mr B's and recall seeing them at the Boat Show. I believe the Wonderbag was adapted as eco solution for areas with limited rescources. The idea at the time was you bought one and one was sent to where it was needed.
