i’m planning trips to Mallorca for this and I’m wondering if any other forum members are based at RCNPP?
I have been a ( not very active) forumite for a few years but have only had the mooring since early last year.
If the chance arose it would be fun to catch with any forum members out there.
Any visitors to Puerto Pollensa this season be careful of new navigation hazard close to channel for visitors berths. An old vessel, that has effectively been abandoned, sunk last weekend. When I left mastheads still visible above surface.
Build finished and about to leave the factory…….just in time for 2023 season😀
delivery to Puerto Pollensa in next couple of weeks, ready for my arrival end of April and some local cruising in Mallorca
Can’t wait

Just to clarify it is a Girbau 28 cabin.
ive now learnt locals call it ‘Calmadas’ …. Typically millpond calm in February with high pressure reduces water level, no one seems concerned. Weather about to change and I’m back to uk until end April so should be back to normal by then! Just to remind you why Mallorca is so great photo...
I am based in Puerto Pollensa where the sea level dropped dramatically a couple of weeks or so ago and has stayed low, somewhere between 0.5/1m below normal level. This will cause significant rethink on boat access from Marina jetty!
Is this the same across all of the Balearics and...

Against all instincts I’ve bought new, a Girbau 28 cabin, a small boatbuilder from Girona, Costa Brava.

So, here I am having just seatrialed a girbau 28 cabin. single engine, (yanmar 320hp)day boat with basic facilities for overnighters. Manufactured by a family business (15 boats a year) in Empuriabrava, Costa Brava. 27/8 knots ability but comfy at 8/ 10 knots displacement speed which is my...
Does anyone have any experience of these Mediterranean boats? Looks like a decent day boat with some overnight capacity. As far as I can tell a fairly new brand but pretty decent quality boats. Quite a few have been built and I can’t find any used ones for sale!
Does anyone have experience of this type of boat. I am looking to downsize to an easily handled dayboat with possibility of overnight at anchor. I love the quirky nature of this style of boat which has Volvo kamd43p fitted. However, I was concerned at engine noise during a brief run? How...
