    I would assume from the description that the turn would be clockwise - hence the bow turns to starboard and thus signal is correct.

    Mike - are you saying definitively that a poor repair could not cause this type of fault? I was told this by someone who repairs gelcoat for a living.

    I was told that they are caused by air bubbles just under the surface of a repaired area. When the thin surface film breaks away or is polished away - you see the hole(s). I believe it is almost impossible to avoid them in a repaired area.
