Appreciate old thread. Just wanted to say I have gone go through the process of applying Silic one to my good condition anti-foul and intrigued to see the results. Boat is a Sargo 36 with twin D6 370’s Would be good to collate feedback of others as more considering now.

Hi, wonder if anyone has any solutions. Looking for dockfenders that I can bolt to the finger and pontoon. Not a fan of the typical plastimo ones people fit. Anyone have an opinion on better solutions or know where I can source this type closer to home in the U.K./Europe?

Sorry for delay in coming back. All was checked and cleared up by the marina operators. They were very fair and got a Volvo dealer to check over everything. I also received a new pair of stainless props as brass were not able to be sourced in time.

Really depends how long you plan to stay and if you are looking to spend time in St Peter port or not. There is the private marina in the north of the island called beaucette which is built out of an old quarry and is tidal. Nice restaurant there also but not much else apart from coastal walks...

Broker representing vendor has been great, marina have accepted liability and happy to pay to fix, albeit seems to be just a prop so far. Volvo penta dealer was checking shaft with port prop and all gaps looked as expected. Hope new prop arrives today and should be able to test for any further...

Yes in the mechanical survey there was some raw water cooling pipes and bellows needing changed. Post putting back in the water it was agreed that all would be remediated before acceptance of the boat.

This may sound crazy but i was wondering how hard would it be to install a tow hook on the back of motor cruiser for instance a Jeanneau Prestige 36 as i was thinking of looking into it?
