    Thanks for all the replies. The gist seems to be use through-bolts with backing plates, not even epoxied threaded studs in the sole.

    Thanks for this. In fact the stainless feet need to attach to the sole/floor of the rib made of solid fibreglass/plywood. There doesn't appear to be a void (to enable nuts and backing plate to be used). I wondered if Rawlnuts would be sufficient, or whether I should use slightly oversize holes...

    I have a pair of Dubarrys (3-4 years old) that leaked . Sent them back to Dubarry Factory and for £30 they relined them with goretex inner and sent them back.Good as new.

    Pains Wessex Mini Flares recalled

    I heard today that Pains Wessex Mini Flares have been recalled from stocks in chandleries. Apparently one went off in their warehouse after being accidently dropped, and after the problem with the white collision flares they are being proactive.
