Did anybody else hear the Alternative Meanings on the BBC R4 programme I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue this week?
Here was my favourite. CIRCUMNAVIGATION - a Jewish sailor.
Any other ideas?

'Scuttlebutt' - To sink a barrel - deliberately!.
'Put about' - To spread rumours, like, 'Free beer on board tomorrow'.
'Barque' - Noise made by a sea-dog.
'Crew' - A sweater.
'Frigate' - A swearword.

I can hear the groans already!.
