Boat fuel tanks filled up yesterday
Out for test est run with three other boats, got 19 knots , not bad considering boat has been idle since trip up to the Thames in August last year.
Murv of this forum disappeared off towards Sheerness.
Nearly everything on the boat working.
Several trips planned .
Out in May for change of anodes and A/F.
First night away this Thursday, then its St Kats.
Some decent weather would be nice .

Decided to tidy up some of the miles of redundant and mystery wiring behind dash board.
Job had been meaning to do since buying boat.
Appeared to be bits of lawn mower cable in the mix .

Then back the following morning to get the plotter/auto pilot /nav system working again. :(

Good luck Fred, how's the assorted collection from the Medway Fender Company?
PS The Sheerness AWB is being replaced with a jet drive one soon, is that acceptable to you?
I think I'm old enough to join the club now, so I'll be in touch soon.......
Have a great trip.

No probs ..................When you join you get a few free nights mooring...if you need some waypoints to get here !!!!!
The joining fee is now reclaimable via the bar and Galley. :)

Just claimed my winter fuel allowance. 200L @ 50P :)
Popped into MDL on Thursday night , really calm and quiet. +Thai takeaway.
Two heaters going all night, like to get my moneys worth.
Stayed on board at club on Friday + Italian takeway.
Beautiful evening but B******y cold.

That AWL.We were down at Queenborough when a new type of lifeboat turned up for the crew to inspect.
It looked a bit smaller and less substantial than the present boat.
Took this on a visit to Margate some while ago .
Think they launch from a slip and recover from the beach ?

I know one of the coxswains at Sheerness and they're getting a new jet boat, he likes it a lot and has been training down at HQ.

Possibly a better match for sort of emergency likely to be found in the shallow bits of the estuary ?
The young lady who runs the Admirals Arm in Queenborough is one of the crew.
Her husband helps out. (Just in case he reads this forum.)
