It’s fitted to a French Sangria…Probably why many Spanis boats of a certain age are fitted with outboards

Yes purchase of a small outboard would have to be taken in to account…….if I was fitter I could scull it

On second thoughts I think it is a Yanmar YSE8 ....

looks as if Baggywrinkle may be correct, the lettering on the block just behind the central pulley and the lettering on the oil dip stick stick look the same as does the general layout.

Yes it is a YSE8. Along with the larger 12 it was the engine that started the Yanmar invasion into the UK and Europe in the early 1970s. It was fitted to many small production boats until about 1980 when the much more sophisticated GM range was introduced.

Basically intended for the Asian fishing boat market. Solidly mounted hand start no electrics. Electrics added for the yacht market. As you can see/hear from the video clips somewhat lacking in refinement. Make sure all the crowns and fillings in your teeth are secure and you wear ear defenders particularly if you go in the cabin when it is running.
