Crikey, did that boat in the background decide that it was a good opportunity for practicing mooring in bad weather...? :ambivalence:

He's a local and you're right, it was pretty challenging with lightning directly overhead, heavy rain and 40-50knot winds. Fair play to the marineros for turning up at his berth and assisting him.

It was one of those days when the forecast was all over the place, some were showing settled weather, some were forecasting the storm that passed directly over us. We had elected to stay in port.

To be honest, it wasn't a great season for us with high winds, storms and the issue with the fire extinguisher.

Just a brief summary of our fantastic summer holliday exploring some parts of sardegna;

We crossed 3times over and back the Bonifacio strait,
And a equal number of visits of the port of Bonifacio, which I really liked,
The last visit we stayed there 5 nighs, and our berth was right in front of the capitainery, at the end of the harbor

Here we go out (coming in is a even more stunning experience)

Google costa smeralda, there are many more pics with turquoise water, compared to what I have on this computer,
This is capo d’orso, can you see the bear:

This is taken from the boat, Isola tavolara, when leaving the costa smeralda towards the south.
I have a similar pic taken from a restaurant on the beach

The best memory’s we have is on Orosey bay,

And the hit from the summer was our golden swan

And towards our final destination, near the south east point of sardegna

the drone pics add a whole new dimension to showing the great anchorages

yes agree, as we've seen so many examples on here from Kivi and others, ..
unfortunately the friend with the drone was only one week on board, and still a bit of a novice with the toy (a very good photographer though)
and as much as a like the photos and video's with drones, I don't want to get in to that hobby,
I'm just not attracted to the hasle, especially the editing afterwards, did that with the UWcamera, and I know how much time one can spend at that..

C, any more details about your summer trip to Europe / Sardegna ?

Took a trip from the upper Medway to Marlow on the Thames.

This was us at Windsor. We enjoyed the trip very much. Perhaps next year we may go to the Broads.
