Hello,
I am strongly considering upgrading my bravo 2 to a bravo 3 duo prop on my Bayliner 2859 as it struggles to keep get out of the hole and stay on the plane with 2 adults and 2 kids people at the back unless it is at full revs which isn't ideal.
I believe these are a bolt in upgrade but I want to choose the correct gear ration. I believe it should be 2.0 or 2.2 .
Does anyone have a similar combination on a similar boat weight, roughly 7700lbs/3500kg with a planning hull, who could tell of their performance/cruising speed?
Would love to hear some of your thoughts/experiences.
Thanks a mil

You'll need the X version for that amount of hp / torque.

I have a Mercruiser 320hp on a Bravo 2, on an old Bertram 25. I have no idea what prop specs I have or what gear ratio is in the leg......do you know what pitch prop you have? Or what gear ratio is in the leg now?

Also, does it reach the correct rpm with the current set up?
