Just got the above kit to make myself independent of poor local WiFi . GoeSim being advertised as useful for yotties in foreign countries, can top up on line etc etc
unfortunately now suffering from connection problems with ZoomUser Manual Overload and poor USA tech backup and finding Eastern Standard time and office hours very frustrating . Had also to buy another dongle as ZOOM one not yet got drivers for windows8( any body upgrading from 7 to 8 beware its extremely difficult to go back . Biggest mistake I made this month was upgrading ) Now got a Huawei 3131 and its OK

Huawei mobile Dongle with sim works ok directly plugged into lap top . .Still have to press virtual button to connect but when Zoom router plugged in to laptop via LAN connection to give WiFi to other users have connectivity problems . Seem to log on to Wi Fi but cant get onto internet
Similarly3G dongle plugged into Router with out laptop fails to connect ( I suspect it has to be done manually because GeoSim piggy backs on top of T mobile etc ) and there is no virtual button to press on router.

Anybody had experience of this nightmare .

I don't (YET) want to buy a local Sim card to to experiment with a non piggy back situation

Well eventually solved problem with Zoom tech help - nice lady . We changed LAN IP address to 10.0.0.2 when setting router parameters from laptop . Evidently defauit was same one used by service provider Tmobile piggy backed by GeoSim. Hope don't have same problem with Cosmote
Can now log in with my I phone to router / 3g Modem and nothing else . also works with ipad.
