Zodiac unstuck

I have a 10 year old Zodiac tender - C240 I think. It has lanquished in a locker for too long. When it emerged it was clear that the wooden transom had parted company with the tubes. Clearly as a result of being rolled up.
Can anyone advise on the type of glue to re-bond transom and tubes? Any positive experiences to relate?
Thanks.

This is a common problem with the wooden transom. It is not easy to glue the transom back into place. Zodiacs are made from an unusual material which requires special adhesives. I had mine done at an inflatable/ life raft repair centre. After 2 years it needs doing again. The only place I know of which does this job properly is in Falmouth. I can look up the address for you.

Thanks for the advice. I have contacted Inf. Boat and they are sending me their two pack adhesive. I will try that and hope it works. If not, I doubt whether the Zodiac is worth a long trip to Falmouth and the cost of a prof. repair.

Since my posting about the Zodiac agent in Penryn, Falmouth, I remebered that I found a Zodiac agent in Rochdale. I have bought glue and repair patches from him but not yet tried them. His details are:
MGA (Zodiac agents)
Rochdale
Bus: 01706 379 669
One last point, I have been told that if the transom comes completely away from the tubes, you need a jig to hold the lot in place.

Various Chandlers such as Ron Hales in Southsea have trained people for Inflatable repairs ...... call around your local chandlers and ask ..... you never know .... and of course then you'll generally know it's done OK.
I know from my old Narwhal, that often the agent advises that its only a delay to the inevitable purchase of a replacement, and he was right.

Wish you luck
