ZF gearbox Oil level check?

ZF gearbox Oil level check?

Im checking the gearbox oil level on my Bukh dv20 with zf gearbox.
It says to top up the level to the level hole/plug
Trouble is that I cant remove the level plug.
It looks like a allan key. Does anyone know the correct size?
Ive tried all the usual 4/5/6mmm
Perhaps its a unusual one?

Have you tried IMPEERIAL instead of metric. Just a thought

I think its a 1/4" imperial

Are you sure its an Allan key? On some I have seen square section keys. In the past i have .....adjusted an Allan to fit.
