Ahem...I think the rt hon Birchwood owner was referring to the 'Lock Keepers banner' which is proudly displayed upon the bows of HMS No Regrets and rather embarrassingly seems to magically open gates, so to speak.
Well, within hours at least /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Wonderful things aren't they? Got one proudly on the bow of Unwinder too and its funny how they always manage to find room to squeeze you in..helps to stay friendly with the lock keepers!
If anyone else out there is interested in having one of these boating aids, I may be able to help.
I have access to a couple of these canvas banners that I can sell on behalf of the SaveOurService campaign. Any profit raised will be added to the fighting fund (they actually cost £20 each to produce)
If you are intersted please send me a PM /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Just a quick update for those who may be interested (Not many I would imagine...)
With the purchase of the Broom looming ever near, I have now investigated the cost of the appropriate EA licence, Boat/ Liability insurance (Luckily the insurers haven't heard of me yet) and various training courses at Bisham Abbey, and finally a lovely custom made website!
The URL has been procured, and will appear in website form at www.thamescruising.co.uk which will feature a home page, price list, gallery and visitors book (and I can do without you lot 'visiting' it with the inevitable bottom scrubbing comments)
I have now sold my Bike business too, so might be in business by March /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
