Thank you all for your comments about the Elan full screen 360 thread

I've upped the image quality slightly, which has increased the file size, and following the comments on the built, I've uploaded a Hallberg Rassy for you :)

Hallberg Rassy 372 interior

All the comments last time seemed very positive, so you'll all be getting big 360º from now onwards. I just need to know whether I've gone OTT with the quality/file size it was about 700kb, now it's 2.4mb

Is this too much? or too slow? is it now unusable?

Or are you still happy with them?

That is brilliant. The quality is good that I found myself zooming in on all the nooks a crannies. It is a really good facility and spot on quality. Also loaded straight away for me.

You have hit the bullseye.

Nice to see you've tried it on a boat interior this time. The last one looked like a cross between a railway carriage and an MFI kitchen. :)

What is the last button on the right meant to do - the one with the X markings? Doesn't seem to do anything.

Speed of loading and quality are excellent.

It's to load it full screen...the idea is that I have a smaller preview in a web page, clickity click that button and whoosh it loads up into a new window.

But I've set it to load in a new window so that's a bit redundant until my plan of world domination goes into effect :)

Mobile Broadband

Hi Snooks,

I'm on the boat using mobile broadband with a fairly weak signal. The Elan pic loads in 2 mins 35s (although when I tried the other night it loaded in about 20 - 30s).
The Hal. Rassey pic took 6 mins 20s to load tonight.
So a big difference in load times although performance of mobile broadband varies a lot.

I was happy with the quality of the Elan (the pic not the boat) so not sure that you need to go to the larger file size but it could well be worthwhile for viewing full screen i suppose.

One more thing... for the pic of the Hal. Rassey (and probably for the Elan, I just didn't notice on that one) you have the camera set quite low on the tripod. It would be interesting to see the shot taken at average eye height to give a more realistic perspective.

Cheers
hj

superb;)

excellent, very quick even in the middle of nowhere wit an occasional 4mb connection

That is the way to go, no question.

Now we need choice of cabins and features:p

'I want to blow the bloody doors off'

Snooks, its great but if and when you can figure how to go behind all those lockers and bunktops, you will 'own' the technology I reckon,

Really good Graham

Loaded into a Macbook using Safari on a dodgy wifi on the boat in a marina and took less than 2 mins to download. Picture quality is superb and by the way that's a lovely boat too.

Really enjoyed the zoom-all-the-way-out option followed by wild gyrations, especially after my beers in the TCC clubhouse tonight :D

Are you going to add navigation to different viewpoints in the interior?

Its good. Loaded in a few seconds. I also think the lighting is better, the Elan got white-out when looking out into the cockpit.... Unless that's just the reflectiveness of the plastic interior! ;)

loaded on 3 dongle connection incredibly fast again. The only really disappointing thing is that when I tried to zoom in on the grain of the wood, I couldn't really see it in detail, and this is something you need to sort urgently! .........and before the inevitable comment from someone, that was a joke!
