More interesting (to me) is I recently found out why the end is loose! The movement of the end clip is the same as its width, meaning if you push it against something the measurements are accurate but if you hook it over something the measurements are still accurate.

Another is the side of car that fuel input is ... look on dash at fuel gauge - usually an ARROW is shown - that indicates which side filler is. Clever these ba*****s !!

With ref to Petrol filler - I really detest idiots who insist on turning car round to get filler same side as pump ... The pump hose is long enough to go other side of car ... just put the bl***y car a touch closer ... where is should be anyway - so others can use the other pump !!!
