Your achievements of 2007?

So far I have

Walked along the beach (watched a friends 4 year old get washed over by a wave and nearly dragged out to sea in a flash, but luckily grabbed in an instant)
Been out for a pub lunch.
done the weekly shopping.
Painted the bathroom ceiling.
Undercoated the skirting board (before fitting, much easier).
Driven to the office.
Realised life in the office is dull.
Deleted a few emails.
Emailed a mate.
Made a couple of spurious posts on here.

I've contacted insurance company
Ripped up landing carpet and stuck under-felt in garage to dry
Left dehumidifier running all year
Emptied 3 buckets of water
Stuck a load of plumbers mate on a small crack in cold water tank
Arranged appointment for insurance assessor
Oh, I watched recording of Strictly Come Dancing final - (how sad is that?)

Today? Off to get the compasses swung on both boats!

Had champagne lunch with new customer and secured huge contract

Made love with gorgeous 30 something year old, I just met

Collected new Porche

Dog cricked its' neck yesterday afternoon... in incredible pain, could hardly move without yelping. Up all night with him, trying to keep him comfortable. Just got back from the vets.... going to bed very shortly.

Yesterday: Coat of paint on old dinghy project.

Today: Alarm failed to go off, so woke 20 mins before I was due at Doctor for medical exam. Arrived on time, Blood pressure normal, oddly enough.

Arrived in office, checked emails, had a quick look at S'butt, spent next half hour on here, good intentions out of window and its only 10.30 on 2nd Jan.....

Cut out bread from my diet for a while,

I've not had a fag for 26 years 2 days 4 hours 18 minutes, as I mention twenty times a day.

It's called chain non-smoking.

Mixed events, as usual. Partner's mother died on NYE - not a bad exit : lucid the day before but asleep when it happened; daughter and grandchildren at bedside. I've been doing my best to support since but also have failed to start boat engine and have got battery on charge. Had a slice of cheesecake.
Memsahib's mother had private life insurance but no apparent benefit. Small print did not allow transfer from NHS. Seems like a racket to me.

Checked boat tarp yesterday after blow on NYE.
Awoke tonight by new blow rattling the windows.
Now I'm at work, waiting for spring.

Sent mails about 2007/08 holidays.

Reach the half century this year and would like to go diving on the Great Barrier Reef, while I still can and bring the kids with me before thay interest in other things.

Well, I would have been, but I caught a length of floating polyprop warp round the Seagull's prop en route to the mooring by dinghy, and the spare drive spring was on board and a mile uptide and upwind of me!

Mmmm. Had to check the date.
Converted edited and compressed a video and posted it on web.
Cleaned and polished shower doors and tray in ensuite I've just upgraded.
Made and fitted cover to hide the soil pipe.
Been to ASDA.
Replaced brass door furniture on front door with black stuff.

Looking like a boring year for 2007.

What a sloppy photograph. If I was running a four star B&B I would make sure that all four stars appeared on any such photo!!!

Went to open window at breakfast time to get fresh air. Breeze blew all needles of Christmas Tree. Took down bald Christmas Tree. Spent hours hoovering up pine needles from deep piled carpet that I didn't choose anyway. Put dinner in the oven. Still haven't had breakfast or lunch yet. Waiting for other half to come in from work and ask if i've enjoyed my day off!
