Re: You\'d think this was a brochure photo...

I once took a little Thames barge in there with a couple of chums and whilst aloft sorting out some rigging issues was delivered Grolsh after Grolsh by my mate via a topsail halyard. We then both spent the evening chatting up a very dishy lassie in the pub/resteraunt beside us who had been watching us all day!
Happy memories indeed!! Don't be trying that at home now folks or the PC police will be after you.

I think Mike excelled himself with this photo. One for him to be proud of. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Goes is nice. Spent two seperate nights there (out and return journies). The bridge brings a new meaning to 'hand operated'...

However I prefer shots like this

Maybe you remember it - shot taken from dear old Whitelighter - steady driver dont you think?

Or there's this one - I like this one as well but she does seem to get her fair share of publicity!!!

Panache2 (Medium).jpg

BTW - Rick if you are reading this what about entering the photo comp with this? - we need another for the Wokingham group dont you think?

I think so too but in this case, Jez is just on the wind up as he thinks the T51 looks like a 'Rat boat!' /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

'Panache' does seem to be a little fotogenic at the moment. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Getting coverage like Lady Beckham. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Rick, I agree with Mike, (thanks for posting this one btw) the Sunset shot is excellent and well worth entering.

Good luck!

No thats rubbish

He's grown up now and is old enough for a flybridge!

However, there are still those times where he stays up on the flybridge when all others hade retreated to the warmth of the inside. There still might be some "sports boat" youthfullnes in him yet - I think not though.
