There are name tags Sewn on to life jacket,

The Flare box has "do not touch Dangerous" on it and has tape around the lid.

The whole boat Smells of Disinfectant and polish.

Wellies have R or L written inside them and your name.

Then you find faint R and L appearing on your nice clean white decks and discover she has written it on the soles too!

You can’t find any wine now, until you check under the bed right at the back rolled up in the spare sheets.

Your favourite woolly hat, yes it did look like it had died; had holes in but it was warm, has disappears totally.

The fridge is full off yoghurts, low fat this or that. not a Pot Noodle in site.

All the wet weather gear has disappeared and you find she has taken it all home to wash!

Oh we do love our mothers!

But what has she done to you?

You grap the boat hook and she says 'You'll have someones eye out!!!'

My mother is on board at the moment, all the sunbeds are uncovered and the fridge is very FULL with sensible foods.

When I got my Private Pilot's licence (many years ago) I took Mum for a flight. As we were accelarating down the runway she turned to me, tapped me on the knee, and said, "Not too fast, Piers, not too fast."
