The evening before leaving St Vaast I realised that I had not filled up the water tank, not a problem you would think, but with my daughter onboard the tank empties as if it had a hole in it.
So got out the hose, connected it to the tap and proceeded to unreal it along the pontoon. Imagine my surprise on my last step backwards, the pontoon had disappeared and I was heading for a dunking!!
Luckily a chap on a nearby boat heard me swear and came to investigate. He helped pull me out as I could not have got out on my own, isn’t it typical that a boat with a stern ladder is never around when you want one.
