To be fair, i think if my house had 2 feet of water in it, I would use worse terms than that!

Luckily I live at the top of a hill.

I did!!
(we actually managed 5 feet at its height).

And we, and surrounding villages, have engaged in constructive dialogue and made formal complaints for years - but of course, nothing actually happens...

If there are any genuinely medical cretins I have upset by comparing them to the EA, I apologise to them.

Oh good, funding for another study.

Beats asking those who've worked on the rivers for years I suppose.

The FACT is the EA have done NOTHING since July in practical terms - flood defences are still crumbling, level gauges still falling over, huge piles of fallen trees around bridges and outfalls, the list is endless.

An absolutely useless organisation which urgently needs to be dismantled back to it's original constituent parts, and the savings from getting rid of layers of useless PR, managers and dopey graduates ploughed back into river maintenance all over the country.
The current EA even manage to make the NRA look good!

EA appear happy to fund "something" providing that someone else does the leg-work!

And I bet a £ to a pinch of Poo they paid more for the advert than they needed to.

I speak as I find.

I'm also sick of paying increasing sums for diminishing services.

As boaters, we're seen as easy targets for a good shafting from the [insert suitable derogatory term here] who run the country. Why is this? We are good hardworking taxpayers, decent people who appreciate the environment and generally respect things that deserve it.

Well, I'm sick of being shafted. It's more insulting than a few harmless words.
