To give shape and form to my forthcoming I.o.w cruise i would like to visit any secondhand yacht equipment purveyors within walking distance of a mooring in and around the I.O.W.I recall one in Lymington and Cowes by the sailing school.

Alas YotGrot long gone, not sure of Cowes ( he were the bloke who got Beaulieu boatjumble organised earliest on IIRC)

That leaves The Barge at Bursledon which is interesting/eclectic/useful. But overnight mooring might cost as much as a bargain bit?

Any local boatjumbles this weekend anyone?

Yes thats right.I imagine he has moved on by now;a great enthusiast although he did flog me a plywood dinghy pass its sell by date...buyer beware!!!I shall put Artic road on my list!

Good to know it's still there. Found some obscure winch bits I was desperate for a few years back. Sadly I fear my occasional pound or two won't keep such places going for much longer.
