Furthermore the vessel from which the photograph is taken is on a Northerly heading.

The left one is Cape Lookout on the southern Outer Banks of North Carolina; the right one is Ship John Shoal in Delaware Bay.

Correct! Just three from about 20 I took pics of during that trip. A great stretch of coast for lighthouse spotters. I particularly liked the "cottage" lighthouses such as Thomas Point Shoal, where whole families lived and worked the light during the 19th century.
