A good day for meeting forumites on the river yesterday. Came across Greg2 and his mate moored on the island at Windsor thoroughly enjoying the Thames compared to their normal haunts in the Broads.
Then as we tired up in Romney Lock Dash300 introduced himself and we kept company until we peeled off at Penton Hook.

And the other high? Get a load of this ………. thats 33.1 in the shade just inside the cabin roof !

Good to meet at last. Chr**st was it hot. You appear to have modified me to a newer model!:D

That temperature reading explains why Legacy was tucked away in the shade under a tree when we passed it at Windsor on Sunday, no sign of life on board though...

Now enjoying Uri's moorings, or was at least before the workmen on the opposite bank made an early start.

"Then as we tired up in Romney Lock"

Do we actually mean tyred/tried/tied/tide or is this some new spelling of something else that we have previously been unaware ?

Apparently U.G. was a Spy.....is there any end to the B.S. that comes from that dude!

;) have you been listening to the wife and I??? Those are precisely the words I used when she told me about the programme....

Perhaps he was straightening forks in the GCHQ canteen.....or Abu Hamza's hook!

Nice to finally meet you and the good lady Tony. Must be ten years since we first spoke on the phone during our Princess 32 days.

We stayed overnight in Windsor and made our way up to Cookham today. Slight tactical error with the canopy meant we got drenched around Windsor Marina so stopped to dry out, have a coffee and fill up with fuel (ouch!!).

Currently moored for the night at The Bounty.....unusual place but in a good way :-)

Marlow and Henley next we think so if any forumites spot a Broom 41 and a Sealine 328 in company give us a wave :-)

It must have been you I saw in Bray lock (I was waiting to come downstream), and was moored up in the lay by. Saw the Sealine had already gone through the lock.

That would have been us. We had to wait as there wasn't enough room in the lock. Think that was one of the tighter ones we have been through

Just for info - the passage under the new Walton Bridge is now unrestricted and those 4 wheel contraptions are also traversing it as well.
