Yesterday, we sailed up from Waldringfield to Suffolk Yacht Harbour with a beam reach F3/4 all the way along the front at Felixstowe. A very pleasant afternoon in glorious sunshine tucked up in wooly hats.
What a perfect sailing day it was.
That's all I wanted to say - lovely.

Sounds great - let's hope it holds a little longer.

With the tides about 7 and 19 we plan to get out of the tidemill first thing sunday and either go back Sunday evening or first thing Monday. A bit depends on if we can get to the ferry Sunday morning before its ebbing too hard - always a bit of a race when its neepy. I don't mind going out on the ebb in principle but it worries me to go out on the ebb and not to have much water.

Had that pleasure today.... under blue blue blue skies, sailed up to Wrabness and back and then drifted past Harwich and over to SYH to grab a buoy for a quiet couple of hours of chilling out... wind never went above 9kts, and engine on for less than 5mins in total..... could have been a millions miles away from the rest of the world.... heaven!

Yes what a perfect autumn day Neil, I stole the chance of having a day off and wizzed down to Costa del Canvey to do some odd jobs on Tadpole.

If only the tide could have been in..... I would have had a sail myself!

The crouch today at slack water was like a millpond. Not a ripple on her. We didn't enjoy the late season good weather by jumping aboard and cruising downriver and enjoying the setting sun... no, I spent 2 hours cleaning Harlequin of the after effects of a large flock of large birds with bad tummy problems using her as a hotel for a while... (and moved the rib off the roof where it had been "stored" since we moved to BYH from Swansea.)

can't believe the season is nearly over. Just one or two last trips out in the wooly hats... now today would be a good day to nip off!

I'm looking out of the office window now. Not a cloud in the sky, sun shining, stunning autumn day.... I really must buy that lottery ticket /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
