I just caught a fish. A little bream. I put him back right away though, well, after Mr nikon documented it.

The fishing seemed to draw the attention of two swans. So I fed them. One was a nasty little bugger and kept hissing at me, but the other was friendly, so I hand fed him.

Brilliant!!!!

A girl on the cruiser in front of me just drew a love heart in the condensation on the window... the evening is looking up!

I can't eat Swan. I can't stand the government, but I am quite the royalist, so swan is out of bounds. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Also, I can't kill things after I have fed them, that's just wrong. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ah well, I think Gordon's not half as bad as any possible replacement, am a republican and want sailing to be compulsory at school. However:

This is Norfolk. I trust she's over school age..

I completely applaud this open-hearted, online, conversation with fellow yachties. I love it. Read the blog, posts and watch the video. How come you're not going bonkers with this strange mix of solitary sunsets and cyber-community? Previously, voyagers would be fixed on the 'goal' but you are sort of, purposefully wandering..I'm intrigued.

Its a roach fool /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif smoke it then munch on the swan

I have to admit, this is the most silly of my ideas, but it's not the first. I really never did think many people would be interested in me going off and punishing myself in the name of adventure. It's always clean cut, RYA approved, hero's. I'm not that. I'm just Nathan. I'm lucky in a way that people have taken an interest, otherwise it would be too easy to give up.

None of my family are wealthy or capable of feeding me money (which would be nice! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ) , but my grandad did say to me before I left, that if it ever got too much or anything happened, he would pay for the boat to be moved by road back to my parents'. I have to admit that on a couple of occasions, if it weren't for the people now watching me, I would have almost considered his offer. Almost.

But I won't. I will do it. I'm learning too much to stop.

Also, there are people having a rave near me. I have mixed feelings or wanting to join in, and being annoyed that they are spoiling my tranquil experience of the Broads.

That's probably the reason so many people are interested in following you as opposed to someone who is highly trained and experienced, and doing it with loads of financial support and sponsorship. Ignoring the backup and everything else that goes with it. But one thing worth remembering as you go round the island, well, that's all it is really, is that having people watching you is not only going to help keep you motivated, but I don't think there is anywhere in the country where you're not going to find someone willing to help out if you need it. Sometimes even when you don't, but the help comes in handy as it saves much needed cash.
If anything happens where help is needed when you're in range of here you know you can count on me, and others, to do just that. If you need to get inland and have a break from the sea there's places you can get to where people are going to be more than willing to help out. Even if it's only Joe in his little mobo
When you reach the Northern parts the only difference is the language, they tend to start talking funny the further North you go, then it gets worse and it's the men that wear a skirt, but don't let that worry you, too much
