Happy New Year to ALL

Make sure the Yeoman fits on your chart table first. Many later boats don't have a true half size chart table. Buy one at the show for a discount. If the Yeoman don't fit you will have to buy the Yeoman sport.

Hi Simon, just back from Xmas ?

Are you not going to the boat show ? I always seem to do o.k. on bargains there.

Had a full size Yeoman for years but unfortunatly the screen display has bled. Sugestions for getting it fixed gratefully received. Anyway bought sports model at S/boatshow. Offer included a free chart folio (yet to be received, suppliers bollocking due at L/boatshow infront of the gathered multitudes). Sports model works well with the yachtsman size folio and they come with the chart ref's already loaded in the memory. The main point is that the sport can be unplugged and used upstairs on the flybridge in all weathers. No worries about screen displays in the sun or water washing out the electronics. Excellent piece of kit, gets my vote every time.

spoke with MMS . They seemed expensive. would not move on price.

Froggie and I are going to the boatshow on saturday.

So I'll try and get a targa 48 for under £200 or settle for a yeoman plotter and a fairline brochure

Hi there, Ive had my yeoman sport for three years. Its a first class piece of kit. For use with any charts. The folios are the best. BEWARE of chart slip. In bouncy conditions you will need to hold the chart down with TWO pieces of tape. This gives you the confidence of knowing that the chart has not moved. Trust me you will want the confidence at that time. Happy new year.

Might see you there Simon, If I am well enough, been proper poorly lately, managed to go to the New Year's Eve bash at the Beetle & Wedge but only 'cos it was free ;-) if I was being charged I would have stayed in with a Horlicks
