Yeoman Battery

Has anyone had to replace the back up battery on a Yeoman “Sports” Chartplotter? Is it a DIY job and if so how does one break the seal and what size battery is required?

I have no idea how to replace this battery, but I have just had mine upgraded by B&G for a very reasonable sum (can't remember exactly, but somewhere about £70 I think). I did this as the new UKHO small craft folios have been swapped to WGS84 datum from OSGB1938 or whatever. They did the firmware update and changed the battery at the same time. I think if your plotter is in need of a new battery then it might be worth getting the firmware update as well and getting them to do it.
