I am trying to find reprints of a particular yacht but it seems that no matter what I try, there are only boats listed from A to G. The gurus of ITC IT Department have not stumbled across the fact that the English language has letters all the way from H to Z. I suppose for people who only work with 0’s and 1’s, this is to be expected.

Try as I might, no matter what combination of search selection I enter to find an article under the Boat and Gear reviews I cannot get past G with the exception of the Hallberg Rassy 310. Even if I ask for a list Z to A, it starts at G and goes back to A.

PS The Search Engine to find posting is even more useless.

PPS As a reader of PBO since 1967 and being so sad, I have almost every edition in a filing cabinet. Such is my disgruntlement, I am going out to the garage to sit down and read through them all to find the article and may emerge in about 20 years.

PPPS Why does PBO and the rest of the IPC motley crew of magazines not publish an index at the end of the year as was the case when we Denny Desoutter at the helm.

Well I can find boat tests beyond G ! At least by searching for past articles http://marinedirectory.ybw.com/reprints/results1.jsp?tem=

As far as searching the forums goes the best bet is to use an advanced Google search of ybw.com/forums

Hi Vic, tried agin and this is what I got.

Click on Boat and Gear reviews

Click on Saiboat reviews

Sort reviews by “A to Z”

Click on 6 at bottom of page

Then click on Next

Freedom 40 to Halberg Rassy 310 displayed

End of search.

Try again by selecting Z to A

Lauent Giles 38 to Gibsea 37 displayed

Click on Next and just get lost.

Click on one of the magazine titles in the panel down on the LHS. PBO for example.

The click on find PBO/YM/ MMM/ articles and take it from there.

Above worked and have now got the edition to look for in the garage. Have to say that I still cannot get the details by using the given Links in the YBW page.

Thanks

John.

PS, Just been to the garage and found that the the particular edition I am looking for is missing.

I can't even get the sodding thing to do a search properly in the boats for sale section with prices ascending rather than descending so have given up.(other brokerage & freebee sites are available) :)
