Hi All

Planning Yarmouth to Salcombe on Tuesday but wanted to see if anyone can give some advice on the conditions.

The wind is luckily enough Easterly on Tuesday. And I can take the tide all the way with the wind in the same direction. All offshore on St Albans, Portland and Start.

However, the bloody wind has picked up now and its currently looking like a F4 with F5 gusts.

Would you think if you have wind with tide and in the right direction, that the F4 with F5 (all offshore) would be ok across Lyme Bay etc etc.

Many Thanks!

Should be do able, tomorrow looks calm, Tuesday ESE winds, which will make most of the trip a bit lumpy, but with wind and tide in the same direction not overly rough. Just make sure you arrive in Salcombe on the flood, you really don't want to be entering with a SE against the ebb. If the trip takes longer than planned then think about calling into Torbay or Dartmouth.

You've nailed it.
