Having planned to get up at 3.00am sunday morning to clock up some night hours...second weekend of dayskipper. I was not impressed to be woken by "world war III" on 11.30pm Saturday.

Does anyone know what that was all about??

You may not have been impresses but I enjoyed them, as did all the yachts around us.

As to why, who cares, they were a nice bonus to an enjoyable Saturday night at Yarmouth.

(Perhaps the tone of my post was a bit strong)
I was impressed, but knackered the next morning. ... mind you it wasn't my idea to clock up the night hours.

Where abouts were you, we were towards the middle of the middle row of mooring bouys.

We (Quickstep an X-302) were rafted up on Green 11 on (3/4 the way along the long pontoon on the right as you enter the horbough.

We arrived a little late in the afternoon and it was decided that the harbour would probably be pretty full. as it was we nabbed one of the two remaining mooring bouys.

Then the early start was suggested and we didn't even get off the boat, which was a bit of a pity as i like yarmouth. but we did clock up some night hours.

If any one happened to see a 42 ft bavaria (i think) slam it's stern in to us soon after we picked up the bouy i'd be interested to know what she was doing and what went wrong. We were all below minding our own.

No real damage but a hell of a bang.
