Hi
Does anyone have any drawings/plans for a yard trolley/trailer suitable for retrieving and launching a long keel yacht up to 34ft LOA
Many thanks in advance.

Why not go down to your nearest haulout area and take a few measurements with perhaps a photo or two. You could then fine tune the design for your boat's specifics. Unless you plan on a long term haulout the economics probably favour renting .

The "Indespension" catalogue used to have several drawings for different trailers. I don't know if it still does, but it may be worth speaking to them.

The first thing to do is get hold of two front lorry axles, (They must be front or the diff.-housing gets in the way) then, as has already been said, get down to your yard and filch someone else's design. For a long-keeler such as yours it shoud be easy to come up with a cofiguration that will work.

here\'s a thought...

most big yards have galv steel cradles with adjustable chocks. one of those with a couple of axles would get you ashore and double as secure storage.

i've seen similar with a pair of old truck axles attached which makes it steerable.
