YARD TRAILER

Hello,

I have recently bought an atlanta viking 8.5 bilge keeler but it has no trailer. I want a yard trailer with which i can bring the boat ashore each winter. Craning is not an option. Can any one help me with information where i might be able to buy one, preferably a used one.

I think you'll get many more responses if you give an indication where you are based. If you're in Scotland, for instance, someone in the Solent would be unlikely to be able to help you.

as it happens I have a yard trailer for a prout cat that is now redundant. I'm sure it could be adapted to your boat if you wanted. location bristol / cardiff area

I'm in the same position. Cam Trailers advertise with pictures and prices on www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk .

So far as I can see second hand road trailers that work are very rare, but it's £2000 for a new road trailer - presumably much less for a yard trailer.

A new yard trailer costs around £800, we use RM Trailers and are very happy with them. If you are handy with a welder and can be bothered it is fairly easy to make a yard trolley yourself. We buy them as they have to be standards compliant.

any flat back trailer will do, loads come up on ebay
