Hi am looking for info on a Yanmar 3GM 30 F/EU.
It had a seized in injector and head had to be removed to get it drilled out.
He is looking for the torque and tightening sequence for the cyl hd bolts, also the valve clrarences, and the sequence for adjusting them.
Any help, advice or links would be very much appreciated, as I hate letting friends down.
TIA, C_W.

C_W, I saw the workshop manual posted on an owners site/blog. I have a vague recollection it was one of the Hunters (Channel 31/32 possibly). Also, there is a Yanmar help forum run by one of the engineers from Marine Power, Bursledon - I'll try and find both.

Try http://motoren.ath.cx/ for downloadable pdf manuals

Just realised Ive got the Clymer Manual next to me on the shelf....

Head Torque:
M8 30 N/m, 22 Lb/Ft
M12 120 N/m, 88 Lb/ft

Valve Clearances;
Intake 0.040 - 0.065mm or 0.0016 - 0.0026in
Exhaust 0.045 - 0.070mm or 0.0018 - 0.0028in

If you cannot find any details let me know and I'll check the manual

The valve clearances agree with the official Yanmar manual but the torque settings don't. M8 18.1 ft/lb (2.5kg/m) and M12 75.9 ft/lb (10.5 kg/m).
If you pm me an email address I will scan in the page out of the manual (2-16) with the sequence

Thanks guys for the links, two useful sites, although the forum site was a little bit difficult to fathom when one is used to our user friendly forum.
Got all the info and more, so my friend will be chuffed.
Cheers, C_W. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
