I work in the trade so you'd think I would be used to inflated prices but please......

SD20 Diaphragms will add up to over £600 - hmm well I guess certainly the main one at £340 is a vital piece of kit but the other two.
The silly narrow jubilee clams for the upper Diaph come to almost £80
The SD20 mount is £180 !! they must be having a laugh.
Not even bothered to look at the anode price as I guess they'll be £40 +

Whats more there's play in my Gori folding prop and they want £315 to fix the vulcanised bearing with a three week lead time.

NOT had a good day.

Got any friends in the US? Yanmar stuff costs about half as much there, and visitors can bring in presents worth up to about £300 duty free ...

Yup-Yanmar are having a laugh!

The quality is normally very good, but the prices for service items and spare parts are well OTT.

I reused the rocker cover gasket on my 3JH recently-no way I was getting striped for a new one!

I made a rocker cover gasket for my 1GM10 from an odd piece of gasket material I still had from my motor biking days.
I laid the material on the cover, tapped round with a ball pein hammer and just happened to have a hole punch of the right size.
If you can buy gasket material at the right price, it might be worth investing in a set of hole punches. I don't know about the UK but here in Oz they sell small sheets in an auto parts chain for a lot less than Yanmar prices.
