I had to take the head off my 1GM10 and have it pressed out in a shop. The pre-ignition chamber was 8uggered in the process which meant that had to be replaced as well. Thankfully it's not a regular occurrence. Once out, the injector was easily serviced by Panda in Fareham, as was the fuel pump.

Good luck.

That sounds like an expensive mistake.
(The injectors I did get out have gone to Panda in Fareham as well.)

I have a new one that I can use to replace the stuck injector should I get it out next weekend so cleaning the fourth injector is not important.
I'll try penetrating oil next weekend.
If that fails I reassemble everything but with a loose clamp on the fourth injector to see if it will get blown (exploded) loose.

Not really a mistake, I had a Fresh water leak onto the head. The injector was stuck in with a mixture of corrosion products and gunge. I used release agents and heat but it wouldn't budge, at least with the force I was prepared to use. It did come out in the press, but the pre-combustion chamber collapsed under the load. The Law of 5od, catches everyone sooner or later.

I suspect that my injector is stuck in for the same reason. Immediately above it are the two take off pipes where the coolant goes to the calorifier. The odd drip or two would directly fall around the injector.

1000 hrs in ten years. I wish. I estimate 500 hours a year for us.
However, I understand from our Volvo dealer that most boats are racking up at rate one tenth of that.

when i fitted the new Nanni in November, i had the chance to pop out over the winter on engine runs. that enables a real run-in, not run for 10 mins & turn off
