Yanmar Exhaust Knock

As anyone experienced a very intermittent knock in the exhaust from a Yanmar 75hp turbo diesel. I thing its caused by a surge of cooling water from the water separator causing the exhaust pipe to hit the side of the hull.
Any solutions?
