No ,I think it’s a single cylinder ,the add says 8cc,it being in Spain

It's surely got to be 80cc?

Or 8 hp which would be about right for a 1GM10 or similar predecessor.

Thanks,I thought the cc bit was the same as hp……it’s probably that engine.

Yanmar YSM8 7HP. The 3rd generation of the YSE/YSB/YSM 8/12 single horizontal cylinder engines, 'M' standing for 'modern'.

The GM and Ym series have a vertical cylinder .

Quite dated this one then?

You can tell whether an owner cares by looking at the peeling linings, flaking interior varnish and crazed hatch acrylics - or not , never mind the elderly engine.

Even more of a tooth rattler than the Sole in the other boat. Bit underpowered for that boat but if in good nick will likely go on forever - noisily and slowly.

Dont be put off by that "modern" thing. It really isn't, and it might have been a "joke"

4WIW made in Taiwan spares for these seem to be quite a lot more available than for the later series, though I plan to pick up a couple of bits for the 1GM10 from the factory up the road before I leave for the UK
