Hi-

I have two PDFs of original manuals, Service and Owners.

For the gearbox (which do look the same in both manuals) the Owners Manual says use engine oil, which for these climes would be 20:20/40. capacity .7ltr

The Service Manual says use ATF capacity 2.5ltr, .7ltr between lower/upper dipstick marks

Kanzaki Hurth KBW10 is the one referred to in the Service Manual

Any experts to shed light?

Cheers

I use engine oil in the gearbox fitted to the 2qm15 it runs fine there was a thread about this before
do you have a picture of your gearbox ?
I know the gearbox fitted to mine is not yanmar and certainly isn't a hurth tpm paragon and so on and on and I've not seen one it has no makers plate or ratio info. Mine revs to high for the speed I get but do I want to change it err naa to much of a pain

cheers
mick
