No slack in the small end, big end or crank ends so bearings all good. I'm going to replace the rings as a matter of course now it's all apart anyways. The cylinder is smooth with no scoring and not out of round as far as my measurements have been taken. I'm glad I took it apart though as it's allowed me to inspect the parts for wear and to make sure the rod wasn't bent as I know it is a common fault on these motors.
