I have a 6 year old 35hp Yanma, freshwater cooled. Generally I am very pleased with the engine but after the first season of my ownership I want to change the saltwater impeller. This is on the port side of the engine, facing aft and the gap in the direction that you would withdraw the impeller (aft) before you meet the starter motor is only about 6cm - no room for a puller and it won't shift with just prising off with a screwdriver. Removing the pump body is really hard 'cos it fouls an engine mount so what is the 'designed in' solution??
